Jean Costa-Silva, Modern Languages Department, was invited to give a talk,“How learning languages reshapes our thinking: Evidence from motion events in English and Portuguese,” at the Instituto Federal de Minas Gerais in Congonhas, Brazil, on July 2, 2026. The event was geared toward teaching English to TESOL majors at the institution but also welcomed students from other programs and the local community.
