Campus ChampionSenior biomedical sciences major Tashania Treasure is plenty busy around campus, serving as Pre-Med Club president, Current Research in Biology (CRIB) Club treasurer, a Peer Tutor and on several committees. Tashania remained on campus this summer as the Undergraduate Research Council’s David F. Berger Summer Research Fellow. This endowed fellowship is a gift from Michael Bond ’75 M.D. and Wayne Marley ’75 M.D. She will spend eight weeks working with biological sciences professor Christian Nelson studying possible treatments of a virus that causes the brain disease progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML). Later this summer, Tashania will take the MCAT exams as she prepares to apply to medical schools.
