Winter Session

Thank you for your interest in Winter Session at SUNY Cortland.

Make the most of your break by taking a class during Winter Session at SUNY Cortland. You can earn up to 5 credits over Winter break.

General information has been updated for Winter Session 2024. Additional updates will be provided beginning in August 2023.

Winter Session 2024 Dates 

Winter Session I: December 19, 2023 - January 16, 2024

Winter Session II: January 2, 2024 - January 16, 2024

Registration begins in early November 2023. Visit the Registration FAQs for specific dates and detailed information. 

No class requirements or assignments should be due on Monday, December 25, Monday, January 1 or Monday, January 15 in observance of Christmas, New Year's and Martin Luther King, Jr. holidays respectively. Administrative offices are closed on these dates. Winter Session 2024 Holiday Office Availability (available December 2023) will provide specific hours during the holiday break.

Tuition and Billing

Winter Session 2024 tuition and fee rates will be available via Student Accounts in Fall 2023.

Bills for Winter Session 2024 will be due on December 1 (tentative date). All students are billed electronically. You can view and pay your tuition and fees online through myRedDragon. It is important to check your e-mail and account regularly for changes in charges, financial aid or other billed items. For directions on how to view/print your bill, please see View Your BillThe Student Accounts Office provides general billing and payment information. Students who do not provide payment by the due date will be deregistered. 

Online Learning

The Learning Center provides resources for students with online learning. 

Courses Offered

A preliminary course schedule should be available in late September 2023, with the public course schedule available in October 2023. 

The public course schedule provides a history of past courses offered, but it is not guaranteed that the same courses will be offered in Winter Session 2024.
