Campus Champion

Jessica Liberty loves being at SUNY Cortland. Since that’s not an option this summer, she’s sharing her passion virtually with new students as an Orientation Assistant (OA). For the next three weeks, 16 OAs will use their social media skills and experiences to engage new students via one-on-one discussions and videos that will support successful transitions to the Cortland community. The junior childhood/early childhood education major, who is a member of the Honors Program and newly elected president of the SUNY Cortland Young Democrats, says that it takes some time to find your place. “Don’t be afraid to reach out!”
