Alger Hall was built in 1967 and was named after Minnie M. Alger who taught music at the College from 1893-1925. Alger Hall underwent a major renovation in 2003, which expanded the different housing options in the hall.
Alger is an eight-story residence hall that houses upper-class, first year and transfer students. Each floor in Alger Hall has two six-person suites comprised of three double rooms and two corridors with both single and double rooms. There are four singles per floor for a total of 28 designed single rooms.
