Acceptable in all references to the umbrella term for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender, or lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning and/or queer. Other variations, such as LGBTQIAP, are also acceptable with the initialism spelled out on first reference.
Introduce a list with a short phrase or sentence and use parallel construction for each item:

The SUNY Cortland Writing Style Guide provides guidelines for general writing style and answers to university-specific style questions, such as official long and short names for rooms and buildings and the preferred spellings for computer-related terms.
