About the SUNY Cortland Cupboard

The SUNY Cortland Cupboard (campus food pantry) is open for students in need of food and personal hygiene items at no cost.
There is no application required to access the Cupboard. Each student needs their SUNY Cortland ID card to swipe in.

Mission Statement

Address food insecurity of SUNY Cortland students in need by providing them with food items and personal care products in a respectful and private manner at no cost, thereby promoting their well-being and helping them pursue academic excellence.

Vision Statement

Continually adapt to meet the needs of SUNY Cortland students to ensure that they maintain a state of well-being and achieve academic excellence. Future aspirations include expanding access for food insecurity resources and offering recipes and nutrition information.

Swipe Out Hunger

Request to have free meals added to your SUNY Cortland ID card.  

• Meal allocations are dependent on the available amount of donated meals.  

  • If meals are available, they will  be added to your ID card within 1-2 business days.  You will be notified via email when the meals are added and active.  

• You may submit the request form more than once per semester, up to three times.

  • Students in consistent need of food should visit the additional resources below or email cortland.cupboard@cortland.edu with questions.

• Filled Fridge Fridays - Once a month pre-packed meals in the fridge. Check your email or the Cupboard Fridge for dates. Thank you to CAS for their partnership.
