Are visiting students required to meet the existing course pre-requisites?

Yes. Course pre-requisite checking applies to all students, including visiting students. As with standard registration, the academic department has the discretion to override a course pre-requisite ("lift a flag") where either a comparable experience or completion of the same/equivalent course at the student's home school can be verified.
