Legal requests for academic records, FERPA record review requests, or legal notices pertaining to academic records may be sent to our above address or to SUNY General Counsel. Certified or delivery-confirmed mail is accepted by using the address above.

A student must submit a formal written request that identifies the record(s) the student wishes to inspect. A student has the right to inspect and review education records within 45 days after the day the SUNY Cortland Registrar's Office receives a request for access.
