If you have lost an item you may check with the Lost and Found Department by calling 607-753-2111. The lost and found department is located within the University Police Station, Whitaker Hall, Room 110 and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We make every effort to identify the owner of the found property and to see that the property is returned.
Found property will be held as follows:
- Valued at $100 or less- three months
- Valued at more than $100 but less than $500- six months
- Valued more than $500 but less than $5000- one year
- Valued over $5000- three years
Pursuant to New York State Personal Property Law employees of the State or a public corporation may not assert a claim to found property.
