Summer Session

Thank you for your interest in Summer Session at SUNY Cortland.

If you want to get ahead, catch up, or explore something new in summer, SUNY Cortland has something for you. Registration remains open through the first day of each term. 

Upcoming Deadlines
Registration for courses offered in the 10-week Session, Session I or Term A has closed

The deadline to drop a Term A course is Thursday, May 19.
The deadline to drop a 10-week or Session I course is Tuesday, May 24.
The deadline to withdraw from a Term A course is Wednesday, May 25.

Summer Session 2022 Dates

To accommodate busy student schedules, Summer Session includes multiple terms and most courses are 5 weeks long.

*No classes or assignments shall be due in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 30, Juneteenth on Monday, June 20 and Independence Day on Monday, July 4.

Tuition and Billing

Summer Session 2022 tuition and fee rates are available from Student Accounts.

Bills for Summer Session 2022 will be due on Friday, May 6. All students are billed electronically. You can view and pay your tuition and fees online through myRedDragon. It is important to check your e-mail and account regularly for changes in charges, financial aid or other billed items. For directions on how to view/print your bill, please see View Your Bill. The Student Accounts Office provides general billing and payment information. Students who do not provide payment by the due date will be deregistered.

Summer Session traditionally features a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses, with several options for General Education, Foreign Language and Writing Intensive at the undergraduate level.
