Advising Resources for Summer Session

In support of the upcoming advisement period, the following information is provided as a one-stop resource for faculty and staff assisting students who are interested in taking a course in Summer Session 2025.

The preliminary course listing is available and displays the courses by term for undergraduate students and courses by department/program for the graduate students. The public course schedule will be available beginning February 27.

Summer Session Cost and Payment

Summer Session 2025 Tuition and Fee Rates 

Bills will be issued beginning April 16. Bills for Summer Session 2025 will be due on Friday, May 9. All students are billed electronically. Students can confirm their attendance and view and pay their tuition and fees online through myRedDragon.

Students enrolled in summer coursework can be directed to the Registered Students page (available in March 2025) for additional term-specific information.

Summer Session 2025 Dates

To accommodate busy student schedules, Summer Session includes multiple terms and most courses are 5 weeks long.

*No classes or assignments shall be due in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 26, Juneteenth on Thursday, June 19 and Independence Day on Friday, July 4. 

Please note: A slight change to the end date of Term C and the start date to Term D have been made. All dates are correct effective October 8, 2024.

Visiting Students

Registration for visiting students opens at 8 a.m. on Monday, April 14. Please view the Registration page for more information on non-SUNY Cortland student registration. 

Credit Limits

Please visit the Registration page for more information on credit limits in Summer Session.  We encourage all advisors to submit an approval form for any student seeking 7+ credits in Summer Session. This will ensure associate dean review and avoid potential follow-up with students who enrolled in excess credit hours.
