Withdrawals and Refunds

Should you decide to drop or withdraw from a Summer Session course, certain steps must be followed to submit your request. The timing of when you drop or withdraw will impact your tuition liability, and the potential for a refund.

A comprehensive list of drop and withdrawal dates for each Summer Session term is included below. As you review the list of dates, please consider the following:

  • To drop a course, complete the online Alternate Registration and Course Change form (requires myRedDragon log-in). 
  • To withdraw from a course, complete the online Course Withdrawal form. The specific link is provided in the Withdrawal and Leave Forms section. We strongly encourage completing the online version of the form.
  • Tuition liability and refunds are based upon the date that your drop or withdrawal request is received in the Student Registration and Records Services office. Online forms are date stamped when received electronically. Paper forms are date stamped when received in the mail and may arrive after the deadline.

Term A (May 19 - June 7) 
May 19 - May 20 (drop) 100% tuition and fees
May 21 - May 25 (withdrawal) 20% tuition only
May 26 (withdrawal) 0% (No withdrawals after May 26)
Term B (June 8 - June 23) 
June 8 - June 9 (drop) 100% tuition and fees
June 10 - June 14 (withdrawal) 20% tuition only

Session II (June 28 - August 2)

Term C (June 28 - July 14)

Term D (July 15 - August 3) 
July 15 - July 16 (drop) 100% tuition and fees

Extended Session (May 19 - August 20)
May 19 - May 25 (drop) 100% tuition and fees
May 26 - June 1 (withdrawal) 60% tuition only
June 2 - June 8 (withdrawal) 40% tuition only
June 9 - June 15 (withdrawal) 0% (No withdrawals after June 15)

*Due to the transition to online forms in SRRS and the ability to date-stamp requests, the dates that fall on holidays or weekends will occur as scheduled above. Requests will be processed on the next business day, but the date of the request will hold.
