Make an Appointment

First, make sure you have attended a Study Abroad 101 Information Session. These sessions run weekly during the semester and give a background on how to search for programs, find courses abroad, apply for scholarships, start your program application, how to use financial aid, and more. You just have to attend one session before you can make an appointment with an advisor. If you can't attend a Study Abroad 101 session due to a time conflict, move on to the step below.

To schedule an appointment with an advisor, contact the International Programs Office in one of the following ways:

  1. Stop by Old Main, Room 219 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  2. Email studyabroad@cortland.edu
  3. Call the office at 607-753-2209.

When you make an appointment, have the following information handy:

  1. Where you want to study abroad
  2. When you want to study abroad (Example: Summer 2025)
  3. Your Major/Minor.
  4. Your Academic Year (Example: Junior)
  5. Any specific topics you'd like to discuss

If you are unsure where you want to study abroad, you can request to make an appointment with our graduate assistant.

We hope to see you soon so we can help make studying abroad a reality!
