Campus Mail Policy

The information below applies only to administrative mail services (faculty, staff, and departmental mail and shipping). For student mail services please contact Auxiliary Services at 607-753-4611.

A significant number of letters and packages are delayed due to incorrect mailing and shipping addresses. To ensure correct routing and timely delivery, please observe the following addressing conventions for incoming campus mail:

U.S. Mail address

Your name
Your dept.
SUNY Cortland
P.O. Box 2000
Cortland, NY 13045

Packages and freight (such as Amazon or other supplier):

SUNY Cortland
Central Receiving
3739 Stratton Drive
Cortland, NY 13045
Attn: Recipient name and dept.

Please do not put your building or delivery destination in the address, as this is leading to confusion at the Cortland Post Office resulting in many items being pre-sorted to Student Mail Services in Neubig Hall. This is also true for many UPS, FedEx, and DHL deliveries for whom the U.S. Postal service provides local delivery.

Internal campus mail

Name (first and last please)
Dept
Building

If you have any questions regarding time- or temperature-sensitive incoming shipments, or other mailing or shipping concerns please contact Josh McLaughlin at Josh.McLaughlin@cortland.edu or call at x5750. This is for administrative mail services only. For student mail services contact 607-753-4611.
