Students who are Deaf or hard of hearing may gain equal access in several ways. We will meet with a student to discuss which tools are most likely to be useful for their particular situation.:
- Live and/or recorded video captions
- Transcripts of audio content
- Coordination of ASL or CART interpreter services
- Loans of FM Hearing Systems
- Note taking assistance, which may include early access to PowerPoint slides, technology that synchronizes a student's notes with an audio recording, or notes from a peer note taker
- Early notification to instructors regarding accessibility needs
- Liaison with community agency support services and resources
- TDD 607-753-2967 (through Disability Resources)
