Jeremy leads the Disability Resources Office's work to make SUNY Cortland a more inclusive and accessible place for students with disabilities. He also works with individual students to help them get equal access to SUNY Cortland.
Jeremy grew up in a small town south of Rochester, New York and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Sociology from Le Moyne College. His experiences in student government were his first steps toward becoming a professional in higher education. He earned an M.S. in Environmental Studies from the University of Oregon while studying education for ecological citizenship and an MAT in Adolescent Social Studies. He began supervising SUNY Cortland’s Test Accessibility Services in 2004 and gradually took on more responsibilities in the years since. He taught Political Science as an adjunct instructor at Le Moyne College, Onondaga Community College, and SUNY Cortland for 15 years and continues to teach COR 101 each fall.
Jeremy lives in Syracuse with his wife and four children, who range from middle school to college, and give him plenty of sports competitions and musical performances to attend. One Day at a Time, Poker Face, and Avatar: The Last Airbender are some of the family’s favorite TV series. He tries to go for runs at least a few times each week and loves running the Mountain Goat in Syracuse each May. He’s always reading and listening to books, especially contemporary fiction from authors like Louise Erdrich, George Saunders, Tana French, Percival Everett, and Sally Rooney. His playlists range from Americana music to Broadway show tunes and 90s rock. Sadly, championships have been eluding his Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Orioles.
