Beginning August 2, you will no longer need to scan your Cortland ID card to enter the building. Visitors will be permitted in accordance with campus regulations.

Information on available library services is available via our Library Resources guide.  Changes to library policies have been implemented due to COVID-19, consistent with other SUNY Cortland policies.

Anyone visiting the library must adhere to campus regulations regarding masking (shown below).

Face coverings are required in all indoor spaces for all individuals, regardless of their vaccination status. This policy follows the most recent recommendations issued by the CDC due to the high transmission rates of the Delta variant of COVID-19. Indoor spaces include classrooms, laboratories, the Student Life Center, public transportation, public and common areas in residence halls, dining facilities, offices and buildings. Face coverings are also required when attending any outdoor campus event.

Exceptions to this face covering policy include:

  • When eating meals while seated.
  • When alone in an office or residence hall room.
  • When individuals are outside, but not with a group or at an event.
  • Individuals who cannot wear face coverings due to a medical condition or disability.
