The B.A. in criminology will allow you to focus on the nature and causes of crime as well as on the analysis of crime control policy all within the context of a broad liberal arts education.
You will get a broad liberal arts education that offers you the option to prepare for immediate entry into employment in the criminal justice area or pursue advanced studies in criminology and related fields at the graduate level.
With the appropriate guidance from advisors, you will be able to combine the criminology major with course work in other areas to prepare you for graduate-level studies in fields such as forensics, computer crime investigation, law, counseling and social work.
College is more than a classroom. Enhance your experience with extracurricular opportunities. When you complete an internship in various agencies such as police, probation, child services, welfare, old age and law enforcement a job placement may be easier to secure.
