Fall Open House takes place Monday, October 14 and Monday, November 11.
This event provides the opportunity to learn more about your specific interests at SUNY Cortland. Ask questions. Chat with professors and students. Tour campus. Most importantly, experience life as a Red Dragon.
Open House is an event that welcomes all prospective students and their families. This event includes:
- This has the feel of a college fair, highlighting academic majors and extracurricular opportunities. Where can students go with a specific degree? They can find out here with the professors they’ll have in class.
- Presentations include Admissions & Financial Aid, Athletics, Transfer Admissions/Credit Evaluation and Student Well-being.
- Many departments will provide specialized presentations about their majors and programs including: Physical Education, Childhood/Early Childhood Education, Sport Management, Kinesiology, Communication and Media Studies, Pre-Medical/Pre-Health advisement, Communication Disorders and Sciences, Economics and more. - Walking tours are offered continuously throughout the day, bringing visitors from the Student Life Center to academic buildings and residence halls across campus.

Parking will be available in the Route 281 parking lot at the entrance to campus on Lankler Drive. Please look for parking instructions from our University Police Department during Open House. Yellow school busses will be available to transport families from parking to the event.
