Withdrawals/Refunds/Fees

Should you decide to drop or withdraw from a Winter Session course, certain steps must be followed to submit your request. The timing of when you drop or withdraw will impact your tuition liability and the potential for a refund.

A comprehensive list of drop and withdrawal dates for both Winter Session terms is included below. As you review the list of dates, please note the following:

  • Students can drop a course via myRedDragon or complete the online Alternate Registration and Course Change form (requires myRedDragon log-in).
  • To withdraw from a course, complete the online Course Withdrawal form (see Withdraw and Leave forms area). We strongly encourage completing the online version of the form. Instructions for submission are also outlined on this form. Students intending to withdraw from a course should adhere to the instructions. However, online courses in Winter have a shorter time frame for withdrawing. If you are trying to withdraw from a course and are concerned about meeting the deadline, you may speak with your associate dean.
  • Withdraw forms must be submitted prior to 4 p.m. on the deadline dates noted. Online forms are date stamped when submitted.
  • Tuition liability and refunds are based upon the date that your drop or withdrawal request is processed in the Registrar's Office, not the date that the form was mailed or signed.
  • For more information on tuition liability and refunds, including fees, visit the Student Accounts website.
