Winter Session 2025 Dates
Winter Session I: December 17, 2024 - January 21, 2025
Winter Session II: January 7 - 21, 2025
Registration begins in early November 2024. Visit the Registration FAQs for specific dates and detailed information.
No class requirements or assignments should be due on Tuesday, December 24, Wednesday, December 25, Tuesday, December 31, Wednesday, January 1 or Monday, January 20 in observance of the Christmas, New Year and Martin Luther King, Jr. holidays respectively. Administrative offices are closed on these dates. Winter Session 2025 Holiday Office Availability provides specific hours during the holiday break and will be available in December 2024.
Registration
Please view the Registration FAQ page for more detailed information regarding registration and deadlines for each term. Information will continue to be updated throughout the summer and early fall months.
SUNY Cortland Students
SUNY Cortland students are scheduled to register beginning on the following dates. Winter Session registration opens with the Spring 2025 time ticket and pin provided during advisement.

Online registration for visiting students opens on Monday, November 4 at 8 a.m.. Additional information can be found on the Registration FAQ page for non-matriculated student registration.
Credit Limits
Students can register for a maximum of 5 credit hours during Winter Session. Six credits is allowed with Associate Dean overload approval.
