14th Annual Student Conference on Diversity, Equity, Social Justice and Inclusion

Rivers of Culture: Flowing Through Diversity

This student-led conference will be held Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025 in Corey Union from 9:00 am- 4:30 pm.

This year's theme "Rivers of Culture: Flowing Through Diversity" reflects the ever-evolving and interconnected nature of our identities, experiences, and communities. Just as rivers gather strength by drawing from countless streams, our collective understanding of diversity grows when we come together to share knowledge, challenge assumptions, and celebrate differences. Through this theme, we aim to honor the rich cultural currents that shape our campuses, society, and future.

As a part of our campus mission, we strive to foster an inclusive environment where students are empowered to use their voices to promote awareness, challenge injustice, and drive meaningful change. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a wide array of conference offerings, including scholarly presentations, interactive workshops, and cultural performances--all thoughtfully curated to promote a deeper understanding of the complexities surrounding diversity.

In the past, we've proudly welcomed participants from up to 18 institutions who came with their students and faculty/staff to present their outstanding research and diverse expertise. This year, we excitedly invite students to submit abstracts/proposals and present on topics related to the conference theme. We highly encourage participation in any form; whether you plan to submit a proposal or are simply interested in attending to learn more!
