About

SUNY Cortland has conducted programs at its Raquette Lake facilities since 1948. William H. Parks Family Center for Environmental and Outdoor Education at Raquette Lake is comprised of:

  • Antlers
  • Camp Huntington
  • Kirby Camp

Located in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains, these educational sites, situated on opposite shores of Raquette Lake, provide a natural environment unequaled in other parts of the state.

The Raquette Lake programs are based on a series of required and elective college courses. Students who participate represent a wide gamut of academic disciplines at SUNY Cortland.

Environmentally oriented programs are also offered for participants in continuing education, teacher workshops, graduate courses, research activities, junior high and senior high school classes, alumni and faculty/staff programs. Members from other SUNY institutions use the two facilities as well.
