For 2024 Graduate Commencement, all candidates will enter the stage from the right side. Your hood should be draped over your right arm, with the point to the inside of your body and the white velvet near your hand.
When you enter the stage, present your hood to the hooding faculty member directly in front of you, then turn to face the audience.
If you are taller than the hooding faculty, please bend at the knees so they can place it over your head.
The faculty members will correctly place and arrange the hood and tap you on the shoulder when it is time to move to meet the president and dean and to exit the stage.
You will receive a reminder of this information when you arrive at 6 p.m. to check in and line up for the ceremony.
