Dragons Dress for Success

SUNY Cortland Clothing Closet

The SUNY Cortland Clothing Closet, Dragons Dress for Success, was created in Spring 2019 by the Student Government Association. The service is offered through the SGA and NYPIRG with support from Career Services. Students in need of professional clothing for internships, student teaching and job interviews are encouraged to contact SGA for an appointment to visit the Clothing Closet in Corey Union, Room 216. The Closet can be accessed by appointment only, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Please send an email to SGA@cortland.edu to schedule an appointment during the spring 2021 semester.

IMPORTANT GUIDELINES FOR DONORS: Please provide only items that are current, clean (dry cleaned or recently washed), and in good condition. Students are seeking professional clothing that is in style for use at job interviews, internships, and student teaching. Items in all sizes are welcome. Please do not donate items that are stained, ripped or missing buttons. We ask donors to carefully examine donations prior to dropping off to be sure that items are not better suited for another community clothing donation location. [Items deemed as unacceptable will be donated to a local thrift store.] The Dress for Success clothing closet is run by volunteers. Please help us by only donating appropriate items. Thank you. NOTE: At this time due to COVID-19 restrictions, current inventory and space, the only items that will be considered for donation are blouses and dress shirts (all sizes), dresses and skirts, and smaller-sized men's suits. Please contact SGA@cortland.edu to discuss donations and to make arrangements.
