  2. Locate the "Orientation" box on the right side of the page.

Orientation sessions

Specific dates for these sessions are determined by your major. In-person sessions will be from 8:30 a.m. - 5:15 p.m. and online sessions from 10:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. During this time you will:

  • learn about your major in a small group setting with a faculty member
  • individually discuss your schedule with a faculty member (a specific time will be assigned to you)
  • meet your Orientation Assistant and other new students in your major

View a draft PDF of the in-person Transfer Orientation schedule.

You will select your specific date through the Orientation Sign Up process in myRedDragon.

Lodging is available in Cortland or nearby areas for those interested in arriving in Cortland the night before your in-person Orientation session. If staying at an off-campus location presents a specific challenge, please contact our office (607-753-4727) concerning the possibility of a room on campus for students only. Availability is very limited and based on need and orientation session.

Welcome Week
