Extended Stay Requests and Policies.

If you need to arrive early or stay late, you may submit an Extended Stay Request. The more detail you are able to provide with your request, the more likely your request will be to be processed quickly. Failure to provide enough details can result in delays in your request or rejection of your request.

We cannot approve requests for break housing for off-campus employment.

How to Request

Sign into your Housing Portal through myRedDragon and click on Extended Stay Request Form under Resources on the main page.

Submission is Not Approval

Please note, submission of an extended stay request does not guarantee approval. You will receive a response to your request in the housing portal in the form of a comment as long as your request is submitted by the deadline.

Break Housing Policies

Anyone in campus housing during a break where residence halls are closed is required to follow the standard policies and procedures you would follow during a normal semester, in addition to:

  • No Guests or Visitors
  • No consumption/possession of alcohol/illicit substances (even if you are 21+)

Misconduct during an approved extended stay period may result in the revocation of your approval and requirement to depart campus for the break.
