Cost Of Attendance

The Cost of Attendance (COA) is the total estimated yearly (fall and spring) expenses to attend college—including tuition, fees, room, meal plan, books, and living expenses. This also sets the maximum limit for your financial aid eligibility. It is not the final amount you pay, as grants, scholarships, and loans would be subtracted from this figure. All students can view their specific cost of attendance on their financial aid offer in their myRedDragon account once the FAFSA has been received and financial aid processed.

Key Components of the Cost of Attendance (COA)

  • Direct Costs (billed by the school): Tuition, fees, and on-campus room and meal plans
  • Visit the Student Accounts Websitefor cost of attendance rates broken down by undergraduate/graduate, resident/non-resident, and living on/off campus
  • Indirect Costs (not on bill): Books, supplies, transportation, loan fees, personal expenses and off-campus housing
  • Variations:;COA differs based on residency (in-state vs. out-of-state), enrollment status (full-time vs. part-time), and living arrangements (with parent vs. not with parent)

      Cost of Attendance (COA) Dependencies

It is the student’s responsibility to notify the Financial Aid Office if any of the following are not accurate:
