Center for Ethics, Peace and Social Justice

The Center for Ethics, Peace and Social Justice (CEPS) is an initiative of the Philosophy Department at SUNY Cortland.

In 1997, the Philosophy Department took the creative step of focusing on applied philosophy with the launch of an innovative social philosophy program. The founding of CEPS in 2007 is the continuation of a growing vision.

Our aim is to become a regional center for the study and application of philosophical principles to every aspect of life.
