Save the Kids from Incarceration Educational Summit

On behalf of the Multicultural Life and Diversity Office, we are proud to present a week-long initiative titled Beloved Before Bars, taking place March 23–28, 2026. In collaboration with the grassroots nonprofit organization, Save the Kids from Incarceration, and campus partners across SUNY Cortland, we have designed a week-long educational experience to disrupt the criminalization and incarceration of children and youth by centering care-focused, community-based, and nonviolent approaches to accountability.

The week will end with a half-day of workshops, round-tables and conversations with community members and campus members, as we learn about how to create better futures. Register for the Saturday summit here: https://forms.office.com/r/BbuHWNcfg6
