Winter Session

Thank you for your interest in Winter Session at SUNY Cortland.

The Extended Learning Office will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 25 for the holiday. Please see the holiday office availability and available services listings for contact information and support throughout the holiday break. Many offices will be closed or offer limited services between December 23 and January 1.

Upcoming Deadlines
Registration for courses offered in Session I has closed.

The deadline to drop a Session I course is Monday, Dec. 23 at 11:59 pm. via myRedDragon. Visit the registered students page for more information on drops and withdraws.

Registration for courses offered in Session II (January 7 - 21, 2025) continues via myRedDragon through the first day of the term. Visiting students must first submit the Visiting Student Form, if not yet completed.

Winter Session 2025 Dates 

Winter Session I: December 17, 2024 - January 21, 2025

Winter Session II: January 7 - 21, 2025

Registration begins in early November 2024. Visit the Registration FAQs for specific dates and detailed information. 

No class requirements or assignments should be due on Tuesday, December 24, Wednesday, December 25, Tuesday, December 31, Wednesday, January 1 or Monday, January 20 in observance of the Christmas, New Year and Martin Luther King, Jr. holidays respectively. Administrative offices are closed on these dates. Winter Session 2025 Holiday Office Availability provides specific hours during the holiday break.

Tuition and Billing

Winter Session 2025 tuition and fee rates are available via Student Accounts.

Bills for Winter Session 2025 will be issued beginning November 12 and will be due Friday, December 6. All students are billed electronically. You can view and pay your tuition and fees online through myRedDragon. It is important to check your email and account regularly for changes in charges, financial aid or other billed items. For directions on how to view/print your bill, please see View Your Bill. The Student Accounts Office provides general billing and payment information. Students who do not provide payment by the due date will be deregistered.

SUNY Cortland Students

SUNY Cortland students are scheduled to register beginning on the following dates. Winter Session registration opens with the Spring 2025 time ticket and pin provided during advisement.
