Emily Sommer is a senior majoring in Psychology with a double minor in Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies and Psychology of Individuals with Disabilities. Emily’s hometown is Nanuet, New York. She is an active member of Sigma Delta Tau and is an undergraduate research assistant for the RITES Lab. Emily is very passionate about giving back to the campus community. It has always been a passion of hers to give back to others in every aspect of her life. SGA allows Emily to give back to the campus community and create new relationships. She is very excited to be serving on SGA for a second year. After graduating from SUNY Cortland in May 2024, Emily intends to further her education by attending graduate school to pursue a career in school psychology.
