Sending Mail and Packages

Letter Mail

All letter mail will be retrieved from a staff member in your residence hall. Most residence halls have students see an RA during their office hours during their nightly duty rotations to get their letter mail. Letter mail includes: bills, invoices, personal correspondence, newsletters, magazines, etc.

All letter mail should be addressed using one of the following formats:

Packages

All packages are delivered to Neubig Hall at Package Services and students may pick up their package at the service counter located in the back of The Campus Store. Students will be notified that a package has been delivered via email and/or text message (text messaging service only available if student signs up). Any package that is not picked up within the timeframe specified by ASC will be returned to sender.

Only the student whose name appears in the delivery address may pick up a package. Students must show proper identification (SUNY Cortland ID) before the package will be released.

Student Package Services hours will be :

  • Monday—Friday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Saturday: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Sunday: Closed

All packages should be addressed using the following format:

Please DO NOT put SUNY Cortland, P.O. Box 2000 or the four-digit zip code extension "0900" on envelopes or packages meant for residential students, or that mail will likely be returned to sender or lost.
