How to Reserve
Looking to reserve the hottest spot on campus? Look no further! The fire pit plaza, located between the Student Life Center and the Lusk Field House, is a great spot to gather together and enjoy some time outside. To reserve this space, fill out this request form at least 2 weeks ahead of your event. This submission will be reviewed and you will be contacted about the availability. We do have some rules you'll need to follow:
- There must be a designated event coordinator who will notify the proper
parties and oversee the outdoor fire event - Unless otherwise approved, only wood may be used as a fuel
- Both an ABC fire extinguisher and water extinguisher must be present (ABC
to be used for emergency and water to be used to extinguish the fire) - The use of charcoal, lighter fluid, propane, or any other accelerant is
prohibited - In the event of excessive wind the fire event should be cancelled or
postponed - Any tent or canopy structure must be kept at least 25 feet from the fire
- When complete, the fire must be fully extinguished by water. This can be
either a hose or water fire extinguisher - All wet ashes must be placed in a metal ash container and then disposed of
in a dumpster
