Class Descriptions

All Levels Yoga

Bring your body back into balance with a variety of yoga classes. Regular participation in yoga helps to lengthen and strengthen muscles, maintain healthy organs, promote greater body awareness, and aids in developing a greater union between mind, body and breath. Classes will have an emphasis on foundational postures and posture series. Perfect for all experience levels and abilities. Al classes take place in the Mind Body Room on the second floor of the Student Life Center.

Box & Burn

Box and Burn class is for people who want to workout and have fun doing it! You will feel the burn from head to toe through learned techniques such as punching, kicking, and pad work. Feel the release of worry and stress while you sweat! This class is limited to the first 10 individuals who show up and takes place in the Group Exercise Room on the second floor of the Student Life Center.

Cardio Hip Hop

Cardio Hip Hop is a dynamic group exercise class that combines the infectious energy of music with heart-pounding cardio focused moves to create a fun and effective workout experience. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or have two left feet, this class is designed for all fitness levels and dance abilities. Classes take place in the Group Exercise Room.

Indoor Cycling

Indoor Cycling is a fun, high energy cardio workout! The instructor motivates you to bike at various resistances and through different courses of hills and sprints. Open to all fitness levels. All Indoor Cycling classes are approximately 50 minutes in duration and take place in the Spinning Room on the first floor of the Student Life Center.

Pilates and Pilates HIIT

Pilates HIIT combines the restorative, strength-building elements of Pilates with the high-energy, cardio focused elements of a HIIT routine. You will be led through a full body workout, comprised of varying circuits to build your strength, mobility, and endurance. Pilates is a low impact workout focusing on the smaller, deeper muscles that support your structure and enhance overall health. This class uses controlled movements to enhance balance, core strength, mobility, and body awareness. Both classes take place in the Group Exercise Room and are appropriate for all experience levels and abilities!

PumpFit

PumpFit is an hour-long total body workout involving concepts from crossfit and traditional body building focusing on building cardiovascular strength and endurance.

Meditation

Meditation is considered mind-body practice which can produce a deep state of relaxation and a tranquil mind. During meditation, you focus your attention and eliminate the stream of jumbled thoughts that may be crowding your mind and causing stress.

Swim Aerobics

Swim Aerobics is a low-impact exercise class in shallow water using water resistance, dumbbells, and pool noodles. This class incorporates cardio and strength to improve overall coordination, joint and heart health, stability, and strength. This class is an excellent way to start your morning and to exercise regardless of age or ability! Classes take place in the Student Life Center Pool.

Zumba

Zumba is a full body dance class which acts as a cardio and toning workout. Come dance to Latin music and have a blast!
