SUNY Cortland study abroad participants enjoy many benefits:
- With approval, academic credits earned abroad transfer back — enabling students to continue to earn credits toward graduation requirements while gaining invaluable cultural competencies.
- Students who take a minimum of six credits in the summer or 12 credits during a semester abroad may be eligible for financial aid, making for an affordable international experience.
- Students often form lifelong bonds with other world travelers and overseas program alumni.
The International Programs Office holds weekly study abroad information sessions during the semester to answer questions and help plan for a life-changing experience.
