Mackenzie Carroll (she/her) Ensemble/Dance Captain - is a junior Musical Theatre major at SUNY Cortland. She is thrilled to be a part of Cinderella! She most recently was involved in The Rocky Horror Show as head of wardrobe and Anything Goes as an Angel (Chastity). She would like to thank everyone whose hard work made this show possible, and her family and friends for their love and support. Chloe Davies (she/her) Ensemble - is a senior MT BFA absolutely enchanted to be repeating the show which was her first ever musical in high school! She could think of no better way to say goodbye to her career in educational theatre as she graduates this semester. This is her fourth mainstage musical at SUNY Cortland, with previous roles being Rosalind in the first staged production of By Any Other Name, the infamous Hedda Hopper and ensemble in Anything Goes, and her favorite role: a Fandango Woman and ensemble in Sweet Charity. She would like to thank the entire MT department for such a fun and fruitful last 4 years. It has certainly been an unforgettable, unregrettable adventure. Lia DiPasquale Madame - is a Senior at SUNY Cortland. She is so honored to be apart of Cinderella playing the roll of Madame, and also her main stage debut! She was last seen in SUNY Cortlands production of John Proctor is The Villain, playing Raelynn Nix. Her other favorite shows she has been in are Legally Blonde, Big Fish, Mamma Mia and Proof. She would like to thank the creative team and also her friends and family for their love and support.
Selma Fabregas (She/Her) Ensemble - is so excited to be performing in the ensemble of Cinderella this semester! Selma is a sophomore Musical Theatre major. Last semester Selma performed in the ensemble of The Rocky Horror Show and understudied Janet. This past summer, Selma performed at Playhouse Stage Company in the ensemble of Oklahoma! and understudied the role of Laurey. Some of her past roles include, Elle Woods (Legally Blonde) Ilse (Spring Awakening) and Lily (The Secret Garden). Isabella Garza (she/her) Gabrielle - is a senior Musical Theatre Major and she will be making her final bow at SUNY Cortland in Cinderella! You may have seen her as Bianca in The Taming, Charity in Anything Goes, Aspen in By Any Other Name, and A Wickersham Brother in Seussical at SUNY Cortland. Isabella has also performed regionally at Theatre Under the Stars in the shows Sister Act, Beauty and the Beast, and Elf the Musical. She is a two-time proud member of the creative team (Music Director/Choreographer) for the Latin Heritage month performance, Nuestra Cultura. Heather Hayes (she/her) Marie - is a senior musical theatre major. She is so excited to bring all the magic to her final show at SUNY Cortland! Savina Jannetti (she/her) Ensemble - is a senior in the SUNY Cortland Performing Arts Department . She is so excited to take her final bow here at SUNY Cortland. John Malagrida (He/Him) Sebastian - is a junior Musical Theater Major here at SUNY Cortland and is so excited to be apart of Cinderella! His prior credits at Cortland include Rocky in The Rocky Horror Show, Drosselmyer/Cavalier in The Nutcracker, Fred The Bartender/Ensemble in Anything Goes, and Ensemble/Tenor Soloist in Sweet Charity. Outside of Cortland his favorite credits include Perchik/Bottle dancer/Russian Dancer in Fiddler On The Roof with the CSOTA at Proctors and Ensemble (U.S. Ali Hakim) in Oklahoma! with Play House Stage Company. He cannot wait for his family and friends to come see him perform on the SUNY Cortland Main Stage! Vivien Reed (she/her) Ella - is a senior BFA Musical Theatre major at SUNY Cortland and is honored to be taking her final bow as "Ella" in Cinderella. Previous credits include "Magenta" in The Rocky Horror Show, "Ivy Watkins" in John Proctor is the Villain, "The Captain" in Anything Goes, "Madame Arcati" in Blithe Spirit, and "Miss Scarlet" in Clue. She has also performed as a featured soloist at Paper Mill Playhouse, Carnegie Weill Recital Hall, and Don’t Tell Mama’s Cabaret Club.
Vivien is deeply grateful to the cast and crew for fostering such a fun, kind, and supportive environment, to her parents for their endless love and encouragement, and to her professors, siblings, friends, and loved ones for always having her back. Ezra Rudenko Lord Pinkelton/Dance Captain - is a sophomore BFA student and is thrilled to be making his Cortland principle debut as Lord Pinkelton in Cinderella. Some of their favorite productions include Les Misérables (Jean Valjean), Mean Girls (Damian Hubbard), and Rocky Horror (Swing). Allison Wallinger Deck Crew - is excited to work on their 3rd show here at SUNY Cortland as Deck crew! Allison is a Sophomore and although enjoying to perform on stage also loves to work backstage. Shirley Serotsky (She/Her) Director - is the Producing Artistic Director of the Hangar Theatre in Ithaca, NY. Before moving to central NY in 2019, Shirley spent almost 20 years in the Washington, DC area, where she worked as a director, dramaturg, artistic leader, educator, and arts programmer. Andrea Dotto Choreographer - is a producer, choreographer, and teaching artist who serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Musical Theatre program at SUNY Cortland. She is thrilled to collaborate with the SUNY team on this production of Cinderella.
Connor Smith (he/him) is thrilled to be joining SUNY Cortland Performing Arts as Stage Manager of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella! He is currently finishing his senior year at Ithaca College and is looking forward to graduating with a B.F.A. in Stage Management. Recent credits include Little Women The Musical (Ithaca College, ASM), Blunted Daggers (Ithaca College / Kitchen Theatre Company, PSM), and Production Intern at the John F. Scott Holdredge (he/him) Scenic Designer - is a full time faculty member and Scenic Designer at SUNY Cortland in the Musical Theater Program. In the summer he is the Scenic & Lighting Designer at Franklin Stage Company. He also helps run the student intern and young professionals program. Scott has designed scenery and lights for Anchorage Opera, Scenic Designs for Cortland Repertory Theatre, Syracuse Opera, Syracuse University, and a few area high school theatres. Scott’s work has been seen in New York City, Los Angeles, Alaska, and San Diego across the genres of theatre, corporate events, theme parks, haunted houses and film.
Simone Scalici (he/him) Technical Director - Simone came to SUNY Cortland by way of Syracuse Stage, Colgate University, Glimmerglass Opera, Orpheus Theatre, SUNY Oneonta, and many more. From Architecture to Industrial Design, from auto restoration to hobbies with his kids, he dives head first into unique projects with passion and dedication. He loves the creative journey from napkin sketch to reality and working with the students in making dreams come true.
Mark Reynolds (he/him) Costume Designer - Mark’s costume designs have appeared in over 30 production’s here at SUNY Cortland. Favorites include: Cabaret, Sweeney Todd, Lysistrata, Blithe Spirit, Spring Awakening, Possessing Harriet, and Sweet Charity. Regional design credits include, The Kennedy Center Theatre for Young Audiences, Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, Timeline Theater, Theatre by the Lake, The Hangar, Cortland Repertory Theatre, Shakespeare in Delaware Park, among others. His work is published in Theatre as Human Action: An Introduction to Theatre Arts by Thomas S. Hischak. Artist in Residence: Gannon University and University at Buffalo. SUNY Cortland directing credits include: Love Billy, The Children’s Hour, Top Girls, The Laramie Project, Sunday in the Park with George, The Glass Menagerie, The Crucible and The Rocky Horror Show. He had the privilege of being an improv instructor for the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science at Stony Brook University. Joel Pape (he/him) Lighting and Sound Designer - Over the last 25 years, Joel’s designs have been seen and heard throughout the United States, including Arizona, Michigan, New York, New Jersey, and Florida. Following a lighting Design Fellowship at Lincoln Center Institute, highlights have included an Assistant Lighting Design credit for the original Off-Broadway production of The Vagina Monologues with Eve Ensler and Lighting Designer for Borrowed Light from Net of Souls III at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall. While in New York City, Joel served as Assistant Lighting Designer for numerous designers including Beverly Emmons and Clifton Taylor. Joel also designed lights for the Asian premiere of the chamber opera Wenji, co-produced by the Asia Society and the Hong Kong Arts Festival. Locally, Joel has designed for Cortland Repertory Theatre and The Kitchen Theater Company in Central New York.
Priscilla Hummel (Intimacy Director) is delighted to collaborate with the wonderful students and creatives at SUNY Cortland once again! After nearly a decade in Chicago working as a director, choreographer, education director, teaching artist, on-camera actor, and dancer, Priscilla returned to her Ithaca stomping grounds in 2016 to found WoW (Walking on Water) Productions where she serves as Producing Artistic Director. Priscilla directed and choreographed WoW's inaugural production of Godspell followed by The Fantasticks, Katrina A New Musical, A Virtual Cabaret, parts 2 and 3 of the virtual production Comfort Food, Now. Here. This., and The World According to Snoopy!!! Other local directing credits include Blunted Daggers (Ithaca College) and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Wells College). Other choreography credits include The Sisters Fitz&Startz: Cook with Kids (WoW / Fitz&Startz Productions), Fever Dream (Ithaca College), Alice In Wonderland, Seussical Jr., and Mary Poppins Jr. (Hangar Theatre). Intimacy Direction credits include Waitress (Hangar Theatre), Ithaca Fever (The Cherry Arts), Rocky Horror Show and Eleemosynary (Cortland Rep / SUNY Cortland), Extended Stay (WoW Productions), Normal (House of Ithaqua), Radium Girls and Twelfth Night the musical (Elmira College), and numerous productions at Ithaca College. Priscilla holds an MFA in Acting with a Directing concentration from Regent University and a BA in Theatre with a Dance minor from Brenau University. She has previously taught at SUNY Cortland, Wells College, Western Carolina University, and Trinity Christian College. She is currently in her third year as an assistant professor of acting at Ithaca College where she also serves as the resident intimacy director for the Center for Theatre and Dance. Priscilla is an associate member of SDC--the professional union of stage directors and choreographers. Love to Mike & Lila.
Mark Carpenter (he/him) Scenic Carpenter - Mark began my professional theatre career as a scenic carpenter for Tri Cities Opera in Binghamton, New York; eventually taking an assistant technical director position. He is currently a card holding member of IATSE Local 54 out of Binghamton. He is proud to be a part of SUNY Cortland performing arts department creative team.
Tonya Mixon (Costume Shop) is very happy to join SUNY Cortland this year and have the opportunity to work with everyone this season. Tonya grew up in Syracuse and has a B.F.A in Fashion Design from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her interest in the Opera started three years ago working at The Glimmerglass Festival. She has also worked in the area creating ballet and dance costumes and truly enjoys making costumes for dancers and all performers. Tonya is looking forward to expanding her talents with design, an excellent seamstress she has over a decade of experience working in evening wear. She currently lives in Syracuse with her cat Kit. A special shoutout to her husband, Andy who has always been encouraging and supportive of her future goals.
Benjamin M. Wells (he/him) Production Manager/Publicity Coordinator - Ben comes to SUNY Cortland after spending the previous two decades in public education, having previously taught Choral/Vocal Music, Music Theory and Music History in Cortland Enlarged City School District. He directed the Cortland Youth Bureau Drama Program from 2003-2023 and continues as an active member and adjudicator for the New York State School Music Association. Ben holds a Master of Music Degree in voice performance from Syracuse University as well as a Bachelor of Music Degree in Education from Nazareth College of Rochester with a double major in voice and harpsichord, and a minor in bassoon. He can often be seen involved in musical theatre around Central NY including on stage with companies such as CNY Playhouse and Rarely Done Productions, playing piano in the pit for local college and high school productions or designing and constructing sets or costumes. Beyond his many theatre activities, Ben is also a passionate volunteer and board member at the Cortland County Historical Society.
Carlita Withers (Box Office) was involved in Music and Theatre throughout High School, was a member of the NYSSMA All State Mixed Chorus under the direction of Dr. Andre Thomas in 1993, and enrolled in the Ohio State University Vocal Performance undergraduate program in 1994. When her (now adult) children, Aonghus and Jenniellen, started in dance and theatre, she picked up her camera and has continued to stay behind the lens.
