Clinical and cultural experience in Sri Lanka
In January 2026, undergraduate and graduate Communication Disorders and Sciences students studied abroad in Sri Lanka. Undergraduate students had observation opportunities at a multidisciplinary clinic. Graduate students gained hands-on work experience assessing and working with individuals with communication needs. Course offerings included SAB 329 (3 credits at the undergraduate level) and SAB 529 (3 credits at the graduate level for first year graduate students).
Throughout the program, students were immersed in the rich cultural and historical heritage of Sri Lanka. They visited Galle Fort, the historical city of Kandy and the Temple of the Tooth.
