March 28, 2018, 11 a.m - 4 p.m.: Master Workshop: Generating an Idea by Peter R. Beasecker. The artist will demonstrate how an idea is developed and show how it moves through various forms and iterations.  He will discuss how to cultivate ownership of an idea and bring it to life in form.

April 3, 2018, 5 p.m.: Performance (Performance with Performance for Perfection) and Q&A with Ariana Gerstein and Monteith McCollum. An interactive performance which explores the tension between the still and moving, distance and intimacy, document and performance, all captured and processed through a variety of tools, including desktop scanners. contact microphones, sensors, and samplers.

Works Progress Administration: Art of the New Deal

This special exhibition features ten works on paper on loan from SUArt Galleries along with two paintings from the Dowd Gallery's permanent collection.  It will be on view in the Colloquium Room, Old Main, from February 27-March 6, 2017, in conjunction with "Re-Imagining Work, Prosperity, and Art: Reflections on the New Deal and Envisioning 21st Century Possibilities for Employment," a symposium organized in collaboration with the Economics Department.
