Advisement and Transition helps you transition to college and guides you through the advisement and registration process at SUNY Cortland. We assist you with planning your courses, choosing a major, navigating university policies and connecting with campus resources. Our office services include academic advising; COR 101 seminar course for first-year students; new student orientation; transfer credit services; early alert outreach (Starfish); and student support programming for graduate, non-traditional, transfer and undeclared students.
The first week of classes is the drop/add period, and students can make adjustments to their semester schedule without a registration PIN. Advisors will be available Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. throughout the week for brief (10-15 minute) advising meetings to assist with schedule changes - or to assist any new student with general questions about campus.
