Cortland Trailblazers

Thank you for your interest in the 2024 Cortland Trailblazers (Formerly Adirondack Trailblazers).

Program Overview

Calling all new Red Dragons!

As an incoming first-year or transfer student, you have an opportunity to begin your SUNY Cortland experience by joining a small group of your peers on a fun and adventurous experience before starting classes.

See all that Cortland and the surrounding area has to offer through a variety of team-building, outdoor, community service and adventure experiences, all led by trained students and Faculty/Staff.

After dropping off your belongings in your residence hall room or apartment and saying goodbye to your loved ones, your experience as a Red Dragon will begin with meeting your fellow Trailblazers. Led by experienced instructors, you and your group of new friends will hike, paddle, and camp in Central New York, while sharing stories around the campfire and learning what college life will soon be like.

There is no better way to prepare for the challenge and excitement of college than by joining Cortland Trail Blazers. At the completion of the event, you will feel a sense of confidence, and eager anticipation to join in with the welcome weekend activities with many new friends.

Get ready to ignite your college journey and embrace the spirit of being a Red Dragon!"
