Managing your physical and mental well-being
04/12/2022
Dear students,
As we enter the final few weeks of the semester, I want to encourage you to be proactive about prioritizing your physical and mental health.
Projects, papers and studying for final exams can be challenging. However, making time to participate in other fun activities often helps students better manage their stress.
Please do get outside and enjoy the spring weather if you are able. The Student Life Center offers great opportunities for whatever kind of recreation suits you.
Many interesting events are happening on and off campus, including:
- Cortland Nites is holding a $3 Movie Night this Friday at Crown City Cinemas. Transportation from campus will be provided.
- A color run hosted by Student Activities Board will be held on campus on Saturday, April 23, kicking off a week of events leading up to Spring Fling.
- Transformations: A Student Research and Creativity Conference will go on throughout the day on Friday, April 29. Please consider stopping by to learn new things and support your friends.
- The Spring Fling carnival and concert are happening on Saturday, April 30. Tickets for the concert, featuring Sleepy Hallow, Tinashe and Spencer., are available at the Corey Union Information Desk between 1 and 4 p.m. this week.
These are just a sample of things you can do. Please regularly check the university calendar and Cortland Connect for more ideas.
Whatever you choose, please be safe and respectful of our neighbors in the greater Cortland community.
All the best,
Erik J. Bitterbaum
President
