Undergraduate Ceremonies

Saturday, May 16, 2020, at the Park Center Alumni Arena.

  • Ceremony A 9:30 a.m 
  • Undergraduate reception  11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Lusk Field House
  • Ceremony B 2 p.m.
  • Undergraduate reception 3:30 to 5 p.m. Lusk Field House
  • Ceremony C 6 p.m.
  • Tickets are required for entry. Doors open one hour prior to each ceremony and tickets will be scanned upon arrival. Students should report to Park Center Corey Gymnasium one hour before the start of each ceremony.

Student Information Summary

Student ceremony assignments are based on the department of their primary major. Students may refer to the Student Information Summary available in the Student Links channel of myRedDragon to determine their primary and secondary major departments.

  1. Log in to myRedDragon
  2. Select the Academics tab
  3. Select the "Registrar" channel
  4. Select "Student Information Summary"

Safety Inspections

"The well-being of new graduates and their families is of the utmost concern to SUNY Cortland." As a precaution, backpacks and other items may be inspected before visitors enter the Alumni Arena for Commencement ceremonies. The College appreciates your cooperation in making this a safe and memorable event.

Volunteer and earn an extra ticket for your ceremony

As an undergraduate, you can volunteer to be a Commencement usher and earn an extra guest ticket for your ceremony.

2020 Ceremony Assignment

All undergraduate ceremonies are located in the Park Center Alumni Arena. Commencement takes place on Saturday, May 16, 2020.  Graduating students are assigned either the morning, afternoon or evening ceremony.

  • Bachelor’s Degree Ceremony A: 9:30 a.m.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Ceremony B: 2 p.m.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Ceremony C: 6 p.m.

Note: The assignment of departments to a particular ceremony will rotate each year however; ceremony assignments for departments also may vary depending on fluctuations in departmental enrollment. Departments will be assigned to a specific ceremony by Oct. 15 each academic year.

Rehearsal

Attend rehearsal Friday, May 15, at 2:30 p.m. in the Park Center Alumni Arena. Instructions for the day of the ceremony, including line-up procedures, will be provided. All candidates for graduation are encouraged to attend. Rehearsal will last approximately 30 minutes.
