SUNY Cortland Alumni Speaker Series: Careers in Exercise Science

Exercise science links fitness, exercise, diet and health. The discipline explores how exercise and the human body interact in order to understand the physiology of exercise as well as its benefits and results.

This major encompasses a wide variety of career paths, including: 

  • Physical therapy

  • Cardiac/pulmonary rehabilitation
  • Exercise science research

  • Pharmaceutical or medical equipment sales

During this ACE event, you will have an opportunity to join current college students and connect with former Red Dragons working as professionals in exercise science related fields. Learn how the panelists have incorporated their college experience, including their academic focus, into their current careers. This event is sponsored by SUNY Cortland’s Career Services and Alumni Engagement offices.

Location:  This event will be a hybrid in-person and virtual event. You can choose to attend in person or virtually.  The in-person location is SUNY Cortland, Corey Union, Fireplace Lounge. The virtual Zoom link will be provided upon registration for those opting to participate online/virtually.

Registration Details:   

  1. Register with ACE:   ACE Registration Form.  We need to let the event coordinators know how many ACE students will be attending in person and how many will be attending online.  If you are planning on attending virtually, we will send you a Zoom link to the event.
  2. Registration Deadline:  Monday, October 9, 2023

To Receive ACE Credit: Please don’t forget, in order to receive ACE credit, after the event, students need to  complete the post-event survey. You will need to upload a photo, screen shot, or other documented evidence of your participation in this event.

Example programs include sporting events, musical theater, guest speakers, culture programs, and more.
