Graduate International Student Expenses

Students are billed on a semester basis, and these expenses are subject to change. In addition, international students automatically receive SUNY Cortland’s International Award to help reduce the cost of a graduate education. This award is worth $312 per credit hour, up to $3,750 per semester for students taking 12 or more credit hours.

Based on the items listed above, the annual estimate of expenses is $27,680.00.

Please be aware that the above expenses may vary from student to student. As an example, some students may spend more money on personal expenses or travel within the USA. Also, they do not include a variety of expenses such travel to and from a student’s home country. The total amount of annual assured support from personal, family, or other sponsor funds must be at least $27,680.  Financial aid is only available to U.S. citizens and permanent residents.
