The Resource Advisory Council will provide a regular channel of communication to the campus regarding SUNY Cortland's operating budget as well as make recommendations to the Vice President for Finance and Management to ensure a highly transparent, informative and participatory budget process. The RAC will recommend the design and implementation of an assessable funding process and ensure transparency in decision making with respect to the university's financial management.

Charge to Committee:

  1. Ensure alignment of the institutional operating budget with State, SUNY and Cortland timelines.
  2. Create policy and procedure for requesting funding and a decision-making rubric that ensures funding aligns with campus strategic plan.
  3. Review and provide input on proposed budget priorities, budget reduction strategies, allocation of new resources, shifts in resources, and campus recharge rate/fees.
