SUNY Cortland’s School of Education will hold a celebration of life ceremony for Dr. Muteb Alqahtani at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7 in Sperry Center, Room 105.

The event will include video remembrances from students, invited tributes and a message from one of Alqahtani’s mentors, Dr. Arthur B. Powell, associate professor of mathematics education at Rutgers University. Assistant Professor Jeremy Jimenez will serve as master of ceremonies.

Members of the campus community should be aware that a Muteb Alqahtani Memorial fund has been created to honor his generous spirit and support students in need.
