New Students Your housing assignments will be available on myRedDragon beginning August 1.
Move-in Schedule
The residence hall move-in schedule and other opening information is now available.
Housing Requirement
Freshmen
Required to live on campus for four semesters or two full years.
Transfers
Required to live on campus for two semesters or one full year.
Automatic approval to live off campus*
- You are over the age of 21 by September or January of the semester you begin classes
- You commute from home (60-mile maximum)
- You are married
- You are a veteran
*If you are a new student who qualifies to live off campus, please complete the New Student Off Campus Approval Form

SUNY Cortland Care Package Program
Distance doesn't mean anything with the SUNY Cortland care package program. Share your support and love with your students through specially timed care packages that arrive just as finals begin, on your student's birthday, on each holiday away from home or just a day when your student needs a boost.
