Get moving! Get active! Get fit! Your mind works better when you feel good — and feeling good is as easy as taking a walk, playing Frisbee, working out or taking T’ai Chi classes.
From aerobic exercise, strength training and free weights to rowing machines, treadmills, elliptical cross trainers or space for calisthenics, you’ll enjoy using a variety of fitness equipment in the Tomik and Woods facilities. You’ll also benefit from our knowledgeable staff members who can assist you in reaching your personal fitness goals.
Put on your walking shoes and burn off some stress, tone your muscles and improve your sleep and mental alertness when you step out on one of our eight campus trails. With distances ranging from 0.4 to 2.3 miles, walking trails cover the upper and lower levels of campus or take you into downtown Cortland and back.
Use your leisure time productively and make a lifelong commitment to fitness by participating in a variety of campus recreation options, including basketball, racquetball, dance, swimming, Tae Kwon Do, volleyball, tennis, soccer or flag football, among others.
You and your friends can compete in more than 60 intramural sports and special events ranging from table tennis to floor hockey and Ultimate Frisbee. You may even end up on our Wall of Champions!
Make new friends and get serious about your favorite activities through our many sport clubs. Learn a new sport, improve your skills and compete against other schools in groups that include skiing/snowboarding, paintball, dance, rugby or outdoor adventuring.
Jump on one our distinctively decorated and individually named yellow bikes to get wherever you need to go on campus. With our strategically placed bike racks, this clean, green and healthy route to transportation lets you pick up a two-wheeler in one location and drop it off at your destination.
